Our Mission

To enable people in poor communities to improve their living conditions and develop themselves and their communities through better access to information and communication.

Our Strategy to achieve our Mission

  • To build an international network of people, resources and knowledge to set-up and grow sustainable enterprises in developing countries ("CountryTalk") that provide communication and information services to empower people in poor communities
  • To deliver audio based information and messaging services in local languages and over existing telephone networks and then expand to other services to support economic growth in the communities where we operate
  • To develop technology and expertise using local resources so far as possible and establish local ownership and management of the enterprises
  • To operate as a philanthropic organisation - to generate revenues that cover operating costs and allow for expansion
