Our
Mission
To
enable people in poor communities to improve their living conditions
and develop themselves and their communities through better access
to information and communication.
Our Strategy to achieve our Mission
To build an international network of people, resources and knowledge
to set-up and grow sustainable enterprises in developing countries
("CountryTalk") that provide communication and information
services to empower people in poor communities
To deliver audio based information and messaging services in local
languages and over existing telephone networks and then expand to
other services to support economic growth in the communities where
we operate
To develop technology and expertise using local resources so far
as possible and establish local ownership and management of the enterprises
To operate as a philanthropic organisation - to generate revenues
that cover operating costs and allow for expansion
Our Supporters and Partners
We sincerely express
our thanks to the following organisations, which have supported our
activities so far.
We also want to
thank our advisors and friends for their pro-bono services, donations,
